Minor Updates & Changes

We've updated a few things since our migration - so without further adieu, here's what's changed:

  • Miscellaneous optimizations. We've optimized our Community Forums so that they are now faster than ever. If you've had issues with the Community Forums loading very slowly before you logged-in, you should now notice a significant difference.[/*:m:g5qyps6u]
  • New theme added: Prime. We've added a new theme, called "Prime", written by the same author of the theme titled "DualCore". You can change your preferred theme/style in your User Control Panel.[/*:m:g5qyps6u]
  • New Groups. A number of new groups have been added to better organize our Community Forums. Further group enhancements will be made in time, but the organization is set. If you feel your permissions are not functioning correctly, please PM either myself or a System Administrator.[/*:m:g5qyps6u]
  • Improved search settings. Search Settings have been revised and updated to be faster and more efficient.[/*:m:g5qyps6u]
  • Altered private message settings. All non-members and non-staff may now have a maximum of 5 private message folders (administrators, staff, and members may have 20, 15, and 10, respectively); all users - regardless of position - may store a maximum of 150 private messages; all non-members and non-staff may now send messages to a maximum of 5 recipients at-a-time (administrators and staff can send messages to an unlimited number of recipients at-a-time and members can send messages to 10 recipients at-a-time).[/*:m:g5qyps6u]
  • Admin validation required for new registrations. Due to an increase in spam activities, we've forced administrator validation for all new registrations.[/*:m:g5qyps6u]

These minor updates/changes don't make any significant visual differences to our Community Forums, but they will improve the core user experience - which we feel is the most important - at first, that is.

Further updates are in the works and will be pushed out gradually. In addition, Revision 4 of our new website will be rolled out soon: the current build will remain in-place for the next several days to ensure that recent announcements have reached those who may not have a live copy of our website due to cached files).
