BATTLEFIELD ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM UPDATE: IN PROGRESS

A complete overhaul in the Battlefield Administration System will be in progress this week. During the update process, Game Server Administrators will temporarily lose their administrative permissions and will gain them back as soon as possible (see third paragraph for details).

 

The new system will include an improved management system that will make server management generally easier and more organized. The reasons behind this major overhaul are quite numerous and thus too much to explain at this point, however, it is an important update that will internally be much desired.

 

The new system will use a completely different user-authentication system, which is why all admins will temporarily lose their administrative permissions. The new system will use player GUID's as the base user-tracking and managing system. This means that if you change your soldier name, no additional actions will be necessary to keep your privileges intact. All players who join the server will have their GUID logged automatically and thus, in order for you to gain your privileges back, you will need to join the server for your GUID to be in the system. Restoration of admin privileges will then be a manual task, however, so please be patient with this process.

 

The entire process will take some time and this thread will be updated accordingly when it's done.

 

All in-game administrator commands will be the same, however most commands will require a REASON to be specified after them. Commands will NOT execute unless you specify a reason (they will notify you, however if you forget). Additional commands and shortcuts will be provided in an (R5) Administrator Command Reference Documentation.

IMMEDIATE TERMINATION
