News Regarding the Tactical Manual

Hello everyone,

 

 

Unfortunately, I have some sad news to share with all of you. This might sound (or look) staged, but believe me, it's not. I'm just as disappointed about this as all of you will or might be.

 

 

Saturday morning at around 3:30 AM, an ongoing storm caused a power-outage in my area while I was working on the Tactical Manual. Unfortunately, due to my PC multitasking with various updates and tasks whilst I was working ok the manual, the power failure caused a large portion of my harddrive to be corrupted. A large portion of my files were lost and unfortunately, the Tactical Manual was one of them. I do have a backup of the manual on a separate computer but unfortunately, it is a very early revision that was quite mature and did not have much in it. Only the introductory pages and various notes were in that revision.

 

 

Due to some unforeseen (and unpredictable) issue, along with my tight schedule in whole, I will be "dumbing down" some features of the tactical manual. I know a lot of people are looking forward to it, so cancelling it or delaying it isn't a suitable option (not to mention that would be prolonging other potential issues).

 

 

First, I will be dumbing down the weapons guide. Instead of a detailed description with stats for each weapon, a generic section will be included explaining detailed situations and tactical advantages for specific types of weapons, rather than specific weapons (such as pistols, shotguns, PDWs, LMGs, HMGs, etc).

 

 

Lastly, not all base maps will be included; maps that will be included are Operation Metro and possibly Seine Crossing and/or Operation Firestorm.

 

 

I do apologize for this misfortune and believe me, I share the same sorrow some of you may have, if not more, since my hard work is near completely lost. Rest assured, the Tactical Manual (and the Limited Edition) will be released on the scheduled release date of July 30, 2013.
