Battlefield 4 Summary

Recommended Posts

Christopher

This video here seems to be a good summary of the new features in Battlefield 4.

The guy talks about the few recycled animations, the new gun sights, and a few other things that you might not have noticed the first time watching the trailer. It is worth noting that this is obviously the PC version given the keys shown to pick up weapons ("R") and the key to help your friend up (E).

Not sure how they're going to release the BF4 Beta for consoles. For PC they just release it through Origin. For PS3 would they just release it through the PSN Store?

On PS3 the betas are usually available in the store, but you have to have proper codes to access them, otherwise the page to download the beta is non-existant. Or you'll get an email to activate your account for beta access, that's how the Dust 514 beta functioned in its early stages. I had access to the BF3 beta when it first became available, back when it was only available to people who had codes. So it should function something like that on PS3, unless they take the account activation route, which they might do since now it's available to people with codes, premium memberships, and BF4 pre-orders. Whether beta access functions the same for all three of those, I do not know. There might be some form of priority to it, not sure.

Ah. I see.

That makes sense. Well as long as they do one of those, I'm good to go. Even though I pre-ordered it only for PC, I just realized that I'll get Beta access for PS3 anyway since I activated my limited edition of MoHW. Not to mention that I'm a premium player.
