Important Advisory Bulletin - April 9, 2017

Please be advised that the Los Santos Police Department has received an overwhelming number of reports regarding an increase in fraudulent activities currently taking place within GTA Online on the PC platform. These reports detail a variety of malicious tactics being employed by cheaters to negatively impact other players, including the unauthorized depletion of in-game assets such as money, reputation points, rank, and even outfits. As evidence of these illicit activities, we have been provided with an anonymous video, which can be viewed here.

We strongly recommend that all players take proactive measures to protect their accounts and in-game progress. This includes capturing screenshots of valuable in-game assets, such as vehicles, cash balances, outfits, and any other items in your inventory. While this may not prevent the loss of items due to malicious activity, it can at least provide evidence of ownership in the event of a dispute or loss.

As these activities are being carried out through the use of cheats and exploit tools, it is important to note that the Los Santos Police Department has no control over these actions and is unable to directly intervene. We urge players to exercise caution by avoiding public sessions, opting instead for private, invite-only sessions with trusted players, or refraining from playing online altogether until these issues are resolved.
